About the Role:
Join BrightStar Care of Conejo Valley and Coastal Los Angeles as a Licensed Nurse and provide compassionate, in-home care to patients of all ages—children, adults, and older adults. - Saturdays 10pm to 10am
- Located in Simi Valley
Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage catheter care, including maintenance, monitoring, and infection prevention
- Provide skilled nursing care in patients’ homes across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and assess patient health status, vital signs, and clinical progress
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, catheter care, and home care techniques
- Respond promptly and professionally to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competency
Requirements:
- Current California LVN license.
- Experience in home health, hospice, or in-home care preferred.
- Experience caring for adults with physical disabilities.
- Must have experience providing catheter care, including proper maintenance, monitoring, and infection prevention in a clinical or home health setting.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
